COVID19: HON BAWAANA HAS NOT ABANDONED THE PEOPLE- ENYE RAYMOND

Member of Parliament for Jirapa constituency Honorable Dr. Francis Bawaana Dakura has come under  criticisms by some constituents over assertions that he has abandoned his constituency after losing the party's primaries last year.

One of the constituents, Mr Alfred Poomuo who claimed his MP has divorced the constituency after losing the primaries, took to Tumpaani 88.5 FM News Papers Review show to
express his dissatisfaction.

He called on the MP for Nadowli /Kaleo Rgt. Honorable Alban Sumani Kingsford to assist his constituency to strengthen efforts to fight covid-19.

But speaking to Donatus Dakurah of Tumpaani FM, the Research Officer to the Member of Parliament, Mr Raymond Enye in his response to the allegations said "it is a palpable untruth that the Hon. Bawaana is doing nothing to support the fight against covid-19 in the jirapa constituency. In fact,  the MP has made two major donations to the Jirapa Municipal Health Directorate. The first donation which was a cash of Gh¢5,000.00,  happened even before any support came from the central government. This early donation was done to help the directorate carry out all the necessary public education on the novel coronavirus across the length and breadth of the constituency. This shows the high level of responsiveness of the MP"

Mr Raymond Enye further disclosed that the second donation was a 10,000 number hand sanitizers and 10 infrared thermometers to the Jirapa Municipal Health Directorate for onward distribution to constituents and major health centers respectively.

He assured constituents of the MP's continuous support to the constituency to put up a gallant fight against covid-19. He said " Hon Bawaana will not relent in his support to win against the deadly pandemic. He will continue to donate his widow's mite until this battle is won to ensure that his people are safe from this deadly virus"

He however advised constituents to desist from all forms of cheap propaganda machineries and be truthful and not being that deliberately oblivious of the MP's support towards the combat against covid-19.
