COVID-19: HON ABU K K DONATES TO ASSEMBLY MEMBERS IN DBI
A former deputy minister of the Upper West Region and one of the leading members of the National Democratic Congress in the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa constituency, Hon Abu Kabiebata Kansangbata, has today, 21st April, 2020, donated 100 gallons of liquid soap to Assembly members in the district as part of efforts to support the fight against the global pandemic known as covid-19
Addressing the reprrsentatives of the Assembly Members at the Fian Health Center, he acknowledged the contributions of the National Democratic Congress at the national level for contributing immensely, so far, in the fight against the pandemic.
He again showed appreciation to the Member of Parliament for Daffiama-Bussie-Issa Constituency Hon Sebastian Sandaare and others who have been playing very critical roles to help in the prevention of the deadly virus in the district.
He added that the fight against this strange virus cannot be left onto only "frontliners" and the reason for which he has to contribute his quota to argument the efforts of others. He admonished all constituents to adhere to the preventive protocols as recommended by the World Health Organization.
The Assembly members showed their gratitude to Hon Abu K K for his kind gesture and promised that the resources will be put to good use as they continue to do their best to ensure that they continue to fight against the novel virus.
As of the time of the donation, the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa district has recorded one confirmed case of covid-19.
Hon Abu K K is a community development expert who is currently the executive director of the "Savannah Policy Think Tank". Its membership comprises diverse professionals with its head officer at Tamale.
