"THE HYPNOTIZED" A LYRICAL POEM ON HOW EUROPEANS PLUNDERED OUR CONTINENT.

They came from many directions with iron boats,
Landed on OUR fields endowed with milk and with honey.
The inhabitants of OUR fields had only goats,
And knew not,  OUR stones are that of money.
Snuff,  cola and cowries were OUR sources of wealth,
Knowing not,  WE have the future of life sitting on OUR shelves.

The stranger realized, the owner had no knowledge of his own treasure.
So,  to take it from him, they deceived US with things of little pleasure,
In return for OUR wealth, he exchanged religion,
Made us to forget our culture,  and took those of the other REGION
Calling our own dirty,  devilish and denounced superstition.

He came with calico, gunpowder and cotton wool,
Took OUR treasures and replaced it with trash he calls cool.
And when OUR people realized they were being robbed,
Began to agitate against the ploys of they that wish, of them to indirectly mob.
He stops the ploys and is now using another means to make our minds corrupt,
Yet still we now realize we're being mentally baptized,
With things WE never realize we are being hypnotized.

With a book that has a face
Or is it a face that has a book?
Push their hands into our thoughts and our minds,
Scoop the reasons with which we can reach our full potential,
And replace it with things, that with us, retrogression BIND.
We eat,  we work and we govern with our might
On this social canker of a system called "speak your mind"
Gradually handing ourselves back to be victimized
Realizing not,  that we are being hypnotized.
