CHASING A SHADOW, RUNNING FROM A SHADOW. A POLTICAL SATIRICAL POEM

CHASING A SHADOW, RUNNING FROM A SHADOW.

The tickling tongue twister, barammuru awumya?
The monkeys of Ntikumaland are horribly infected by your bias proboscis chatters,
If all Monkeys are equal, then
All Monkeys must follow the same manual.

If one monkey equals one banana
Then all bananas must be brought together
And shared at the village square in likewise manner,
As is of a moral usual.
If one monkey, one branch, then,
All trees must be of the same species.

Mother monkey must not use another's bannana leaves to weave her crown,
While the helpless are left to feel quire.
Father monkey portrayed himself as our only hope,
The knots that are made to be held together on the living rope.
Come to me with all of your woes
And i shall give you rest off those.

You said,  your predecessor was a complete mess,
And all the other monkeys gave a hell yes.
Only for you to become a nightmare,
Worst than they you took over from in this game of chess.
You chattered against neighbourly give and take,
But you literally kneel before those same
A basket in hand, asking for surplus so you could take.

Running helter skelter, chasing a shadow, running from a shadow.
Wake from your slumber for the affairs of ntikumaland are in shambles.
Many of the monkeys are  fed up with your vain chatters,
Chatters they'd also make in need of bannanas.
Give us bannanas, give us bannanas
And stop chattering of money palavas.
