I write to evince my very sincere gratitude and appreciation to everybody that supported me, voted for me and wished me well right from my nomination as the most outstanding student writer by the Ghana Tertiary Award.
The grand finale was yesterday, Friday, 23rd, 2018 in Accra. I officially bring to your notice that I could not win the award. It was a painful lost considering the quantum of resources and time you and I sunk into the campaign to win this golden award.
I am very sorry to all supporters for my inability to win the award. Your support was overwhelming and that demanded that I won the award. Unfortunately, I disappointed you. Even as I take this defeat with extreme pain, I take solace in the thunderous love extended me through out the period.
I wish to assure you that I shall continue to write because writing is my passion. My award is the many hearts and minds I touch daily through my pieces. Any other award is symbolically supplementary.
It is a golden opportunity to work harder and fight back strongly next time. I don't write for awards, though I have won two important awards, I write to change society but when the opportunity is provided in a fair platform, I shall make you proud.
May God replenish your time and resources used in voting for me.
