Ghana is blessed with many talents. In the entertainment industry, we have a lot of very young men and women who are growing rapidly and conquering the nation as far as entertainment is concerned. Mentioned can be made of Fancy Gaddam, Mzvee, Kwame Eugene, the late Ebony of blessed memory, King Promise and many more. I must say that the young are giving the accomplished artists a good run for their money.
Many of these young musicians remained unidentified, unsupported and in many cases, without any professional management. In a country like ours where the entertainment industry is striving very well, such young talents must be identified and supported to grow. We need some policies in the art and entertainment industry that should help such young talents grow.
There is this young talented musician called Addy Lincoln who hails from the Upper West Region but base in Kasoa, Accra. His genre of music is purely dancehall. The self motivated artist have since been struggling to take over the country with his melodies tunes. He founded the Addy Animation empire as a starting point of creating opportunities for his music.
In the 2016/2017 academic year, He was awarded the best artist of the year. This glory got him nominated to the Ghana tertiary music awards in late 2017 though he did not win.
The 23 year old dancehall artist is set to release a mixtape album this year.
