Hon Adwoa Sarfo Should Retract Her Blatant Lies And Apologize To Ghanaians

We the members of the aforementioned association were awaked with utmost surprise by the blatant and shamelessly unintelligent lies put out there by no other a person than a minister of state in the person of the Hon minister for procurement, Hon Adwoa Sarfo who doubles as the member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya constituency. She attempted to distort facts about the building of one of John Dramani Mahama's legacies( the famous 123 community senior high schools). According to her, she made a land available and secured world bank funding for the project. Such an infantile and unrehearsed lies!!!

The statements by Hon Adwoa Sarfo were soon exposed by the world bank. It is a basic knowledge to citizenry that the world bank do not deal with individuals as indicated in their response to the "beautiful liar". We are not unaware of the numerous lies of political opportunists who take solace without shame in belittling the intelligence of Ghanaians. Adwoa needs to be reminded that she and her parliamentary caucus were largely against the world bank facility that funded those community senior high schools including the one she is claiming ownership of.

We are of the view that a minister of state should not engage in such lies especially when she is heading an office like minister of procurement which under normal circumstances should keep facts and figures of national importance.
She has disrespected her own office and put the office into disrepute.
We don't even expect a serial caller on the street would make such ridiculous palpable lies.

We have also realized that her lies was conspicuous that it was greeted with a seeming unending public opprobrium. What dignity has she as a minister of state now?

We want to use this opportunity to call on her, the minister cum Mp, to retract her statements and apologize to Ghanaians for her blatant disregard for fundamental Ghanaian values of truth, honesty and fairness.

We are also calling on the president, H E Nana Akufo Addo, to sack the minister for such a disgraceful act. Such characters in sensitive position of government would only mean that government lacks integrity and the moral standards required for good and smooth governance.

We also want to caution Ghanaians to beware of politicians who think that lies, deception and arrogance are what keep them in power. Our leaders must be serious by thinking of and implementing policies than engaging in ridiculous lies for cheap political fame.

Thank you.
